CCYM Outreach

One of our deepest longings – as the children of God – is some assurance that we are fulfilling our purpose in life. The apostle Paul makes this famous statement in his letter to the Ephesians, chapter 2, verses 8 and 9:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.

The THANKS for our belonging in Gods family goes to God, only because of his grace. But one of Gods great gifts is described in the very next verse:

For we are Gods handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

We certainly don't know every students purpose in life, but we challenge every student to serve and – hopefully – to discover that the life of sacrifice is the greatest kind of life.

Students in our high school ministry are encouraged to assist in the church nursery, in our AWANA children's program, and at our signature middle school events. Our students are also leading the way in Calvary's growing friendship with the Union Rescue Mission. Students have twice planned and hosted a game tournament at URM's Spring Carnival, participated in the rooftop summer movie series, and brought an extra supply of enthusiasm to "Splash Zone" - the mission's summer water day. Through the years we have also carried the love of Christ - through humanitarian relief projects - to the Wind River Arapahoe community in Wyoming, the Christian Surfers ministry in Costa Rica, Hands of Mercy in Mexico, and a variety of churches in Belize City, Belize.

If you are a student, we invite you to consider areas where God might be calling you to serve.
