We are a team of Christian young adults, called to serve the middle school, high school and college students at Calvary. It has been our greatest joy, through the years, to see the life of Jesus in our students. It is our passion to see our Calvary students grow so committed to the gospel that they engage their culture with the goodness, truth, hope and love of God.
Programs
Middle School, High School, and College-age students have weekly opportunities to gather with their peers. These programs are described in the pages to your left. Each of these programs represents a safe, comfortable place where your student can grow in their worship of God, their knowledge of his Word, and their participation in His family.
In addition to our weekly gatherings, we also offer a variety of small groups, camps, retreats, special events and service projects.
Parenting Support
We value our role in our students' lives, and we recognize that the burden of their spiritual development belongs to you. We want to serve you however we can, so we try to provide challenging experiences for you and your students.
Calvary Church Youth Ministries is proud to offer "Parent Time", an annual course for parents of teenagers.
We typically meet over a four week period and discuss such topics as Peer Pressure, Rebellion, Identity Formation and Spiritual Development. This group will meet again in the spring of 2013 so please stay tuned for specific dates.
Shawn Gendall - Calvary's Pastor of Student Ministries - also sends an occasional email with encouraging readings for parents, as well as information about programs. To be added to this email list, please contact Shawn at sgendall@calvarypalisades.org.

Prayer
We believe that prayer matters, and we pray every day for your students, that God would grow them in wisdom and purity. From the Apostle Paul:
“And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-18

Personal Attention
Our programs have grown through the years, but we will always maintain our small, family-focused feel. Please get to know the members of our staff team: invite them to a family dinner, send them your student's volleyball schedule, or incorporate their small group discussions into your conversations, and again...we are here to serve so call or email any time.
