Guatemala Missions Trip - Day 1

Thank you to all who are praying for our trip!  We have had a marathon first day, beginning at 11pm last night at LAX and now - finally - the kids are hunkered down for the night.  

What a day it has been, though!  We took advantage of a few hours of down time and visited the national cathedral, the presidential palace, and a traditional marketplace downtown.  

We toured our ministry home for the week, Hope for Guatemala, then visited a home in Zone 18.

Hurricane Harbor

The Middle School Youth Group had a great day at Hurricane Harbor yesterday.  Thank you to all the parents who sent their students!

One Thing I Ask

A few times a year I write entries on a personal blog.  They are mostly devotional thoughts, and many are born out of discussions with our Calvary youth.

Why College Students Need the Local Church

I wanted to share this post with all of you, from a fellow college pastor.  Thank you - to our church family at Calvary - for providing a warm, welcoming place for our college students.

My heart is filled with joy over all of the students who are making the most of their college years by connecting with the church.
