High School Missions

Calvary’s high school students are serving in our church, our community, and our world. Students are encouraged to assist in the church nursery, in our AWANA children’s program, and at our signature middle school events. Our high schoolers are also leading the way in Calvary’s growing friendship with the Union Rescue Mission. Students planned and hosted a game tournament at URM’s Spring Carnival, participated in the rooftop summer movie series, and brought an extra supply of enthusiasm to “Splash Zone”, the mission’s summer water day. Through the years we have also carried the love of Jesus – through humanitarian relief projects – to the Wind River reservation in Wyoming, the Christian Surfers ministry in Costa Rica, Hope for Guatemala in Guatemala City, and a variety of churches in Belize City, Belize.

Our next mission adventure is our upcoming Urban Ministry Retreat, June 28-30, right here in Los Angeles, California.  Our beloved ministry partner, World Impact, is hosting a small group of our high school students as we “live and serve” in this city we love.
