Like you, I've come to understand the value of establishing goals. Goals help me focus on what's really important. They keep me from getting distracted by busyness and help calm the anxiety I sometimes feel. The substance of my goals gives my life and ministry stability, direction and power.
My #1 goal in life is to "live from the heart by engaging in a passionate, undistracted daily connection with God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit." I look forward each morning to connecting with God through reading the Bible and listening to what He says to me personally.
My #2 goal is to "finish strong with my ministry, my morality and my marriage intact". I'm convinced that it is easier to start strong than it is to finish strong. God has called me, gifted me, empowered me, sustained me and privileged me to serve Him as a husband/father, pastor/preacher and servant/leader.
For over a decade I've served as Senior Pastor of Calvary Church. I've had the privilege of leading a team of incredibly gifted people who are giving their lives away to serve God through the ministries of our church. I'm happily married to Susie and God has blessed us with two amazing daughters who love God and continue to be an abiding source of joy and blessing.
I'm a graduate of Wheaton College (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.) and Fuller Theological Seminary (D.Min.). I have been blessed to spend my whole life studying, applying and sharing the Word of God.
