FAQ + Other
Information

All registered campers with Calvary Church will be departing from Calvary's campus 701 N. Palisades Drive in Pacific Palisades on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Check in will start at 8:30AM and departure will be at 9:30AM.  The check-in process will include paperwork, separating packing materials, and a quick medical check so that we are in compliance with Hume Lake's regulations.

We will be stopping for lunch both on the way to Hume Lake and from Hume Lake. Elementary kids will not need to bring any money with them. All middle school students and high school students will need to bring $40 in total ($20 per trip) for lunch.

Please check your email as you should have received an email from Hume Lake asking you to complete your online registration. This is mandatory. This will allow you to add dietary needs, medication needs, emergency contact, and will allow you to sign your student(s) up for additional recreational activities.

All students will ride together on the same bus with the specified camp grade (HS, MS, or ELEM). Once at Hume Lake, students will be bunking with other same-gender Calvary students. Our team will work diligently to ensure every student has been placed with friends and requested peers. While we were unable to accommodate every request, I am confident that each student has been placed in a safe, fun, and enjoyable space. (Will be sent out on July 6th)

It is possible that we will have a small group of students who will experience homesickness during their stay at Hume Lake. Please know that our counselors are trained on what to do in those scenarios and any Hume Lake provided SES counselor are also trained. As a heads up, we strongly encourage parents NOT to call their students throughout the week and we strongly encourage students not to call home as this, sometimes, makes their homesickness worse. If their homesickness becomes problematic, our team will be in contact with you.

If you choose to send mail to your student(s), which they would greatly appreciate, you can do so by sending packages to the following, depending on which camp your student is attending:

Wagon Train - August 2-8                                                                Meadow Ranch - August 2-8
 Ponderosa - August 2-8

(Camper's Name)- Calvary Church of Pacific Palisades

64144 Hume Lake Rd., Hume, CA 93628

Our trained counselors are prepared to navigate a multitude of potential behavioral issues in an appropriate manner. Most behavioral issues will be handled by Calvary Staff, counselors, or Hume Staff. However, it is important to note that if a student is expelled from camp, the parent is expected and responsible to pick their student up from camp. Expulsion from camp is rare but can happen if a student violates Hume's Code of Conduct or Calvary's behavioral expectations.
